If you go by the trade figures, the movie has earned handsome revenues. Dhol started to draw attention of the audiences with the catchy trailers that were frequently featured on the television channels. The movie had some hilarious moments and it seems that the stars of Dhol have put best of their efforts to make the audiences laugh and enjoy.

Director of Dhol, Priyadarshan has again shown his creative genius by the way he handled all of the actors. The story of Dhol involves the lives of four friends who harbored extremely high ambitions but cared little to achieve them. The four friends Sam – Tussar Kapoor, Maru – Rajpal Yadav, Goti – Kunal Khemu and Pakkya – Sharman Joshi did all sorts of fun and frolic but were not at all serious about their lives. Their endeavors of running behind wild dreams by taking a short cut route to success landed them into much more trouble.
Dhol came to an interesting point, when the four pals decided that the only way to get rich is by marrying a wealthy girl. Whats more, even to their surprise, the rich girl Kanchan- Tanushree Dutta arrived to stay in their locality. The twists and turns that followed in the course of events will certainly make you roll with laughter. There were also some elements of thrill and suspense that makes this movie really worth watching. The funniest of scenes come when all the four friends try out their luck to marry Kanchan.
Those who have already watched Dhol would agree that the film has all the elements that would keep you glued to the theater seats. There is hardly any scene that can make you feel bored. The timing of comedy is awesome. Be it Sharman Joshi or Tussar Kapoor both have given excellent performances. Rajpal Yadav has again shown his skills of fabulous acting. The comedy timing of all the actors were perfect and there were scenes that would be stored in your mind even after you get out of the theater halls.
The music of Dhol has been given by Pritam Chakraborty. The film has got some peppy numbers, Though it seems that the renowned music director has shown little justice to his 'Life in a Metro' fame. The songs featuring the four friends although have nice visuals and even in the songs you get to giggle and smile. Dhol should be watched if you care little about the serious issues and want to enjoy a fantastic Bollywood comedy film. So what are you waiting for, plunge into the sea of laughter with Dhol and have a wonderful time. |
